United Nations Human Rights Council

Agenda: Discussing Affirmative Action for Human Right Violations due to NATO-led Interventions

The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) is the primary organ of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), responsible for promoting and protecting human rights around the world. It mostly addresses the Israeli-Palestinian conflict alongside the rights-related situations in all those parts of the world where basic human rights are violated. The concerns of UNHRC also concentrate on important thematic human rights issues such as freedom of association, freedom of expression, freedom of belief and religion, women’s rights, LGBT rights and the rights of racial and ethnic minorities. If you value one’s basic rights prior to anything else and believe that every human deserves to be treated equally and with respect, this is the place to be. Use your words to bring justice to thousands who have been denied of their rights and create history. So adjust your tie and fix your suit because we bring to you the second council to be simulated at VITCMUN 2017, UNHRC.
